We are seeking a meticulous individual with a strong interest in accounting and finance, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and a genuine passion to pursue a career in Finance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and monitor accounting records and ensure accuracy of financial information.
- Handle debtor accounting, monitoring, reconciliations, and follow-up.
- Prepare regular financial and management reports and provide relevant analysis.
- Assist with tax-related matters, including preparation of relevant tax schedules and compliance requirements.
- Analyze financial information and highlight key issues requiring management attention.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and other finance-related analysis.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external parties on finance-related matters.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable accounting requirements.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Part qualification in CA Sri Lanka or currently following the CA Sri Lanka qualification.
- Previous experience in an accounting/finance role.
- Good knowledge of taxation and accounting standards (IFRS). Experience in the insurance industry and taxation will be an added advantage.
- Experience in debtor management and financial/reporting activities.
- Insurance industry experience will be a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical mindset, numerical ability and attention to detail.
- Good command of MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Forward-thinking, proactive and solution-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
