Financial Accountant
We are looking for a dynamic and vibrant team member who could be part of our Finance Team to mainly engage in:
- Preparation of financial statements and reports in line with relevant standards and regulations to enable management decisions and analysis.
- Reporting financial statements in line with the requirement of the Colombo Stock Exchange, and other statutory bodies.
- Introducing and use of best-practices in accounting controls enabling a compliant environment.
- Tax planning, preparation of returns, returns filing and coordinating on tax related matters with the tax authorities and consultants.
- Preparation of budgets, forecasts and budgetary control.
- Coordination and ensuring timely completion of interim and annual statutory audits.
- Driving the preparation of the Annual Report, keeping up with the business standards and timelines.
- Supervision of fixed assets records and inventory recording and controls are in place.
- Assist preparation of project BOQs and project budgets.
Candidate Profile
- CA Sri Lanka or ACCA Full qualification (ACA or passed finalist)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial sector
- Preferably a degree from a recognised university specialised in Accountancy / Finance.
- Sound knowledge on SLFRS and Budgeting processes.
- Experience in using advanced options in spreadsheets and ERP systems (preferably SAP)
- Good communication skills in English and local languages.
- High level of maturity and endurance in dealing with the stake holders
