Junior Executive / Executive – Underwriting (Motor / Non-Motor)
MBSL Insurance Company Limited is seeking a meticulous, passionate, and driven individual to join our Head Office team in Colombo. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to build a rewarding career in General Insurance, this role is open for you.
THE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review insurance proposals and issue quotations.
- Collect necessary information and negotiate terms with clients.
- Support to prepare accurate insurance policies.
- Work closely with the sales team.
- Enter accurate data into the system and maintain up-to-date records.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- G.C.E. A/L pass with at least 3 subjects.
- A partial professional qualification from a recognized insurance body.
- Around 2 years of experience underwriting Motor Insurance policies.
- Understanding of Motor / Non-Motor Insurance.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Good communication skills with a strong command of English and Sinhala (Knowledge of Tamil is an added advantage).
- Numerical fluency and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant computer applications.
- Sharp attention to detail, ability to meet strict deadlines, and great problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative team player who can also work independently in a highly demanding environment.
