GRADE 05 SCHOLARSHIP TEACHERS (SINHALA MEDIUM)
Responsibilities
- Must plan and conduct effective lessons for Grade 5 students in preparation for the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination.
- Must encourage creative, logical, and out-of-the-box thinking through challenging questions, practical situations, and different approaches to problem-solving.
- Should develop students' knowledge, reasoning, analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills beyond the prescribed subject content.
- Must provide structured revision, practice papers, model examinations, and other innovative learning activities to improve students' performance.
- Should monitor students' academic progress and provide appropriate individual guidance and support.
- Should prepare creative worksheets, learning materials, and assessment activities that encourage students to think independently and apply their knowledge in new situations.
- Must work closely with the Primary Section and parents/guardians to support students' academic and overall development.
Qualification & Experience
- Should possess a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), or an equivalent professional qualification in Education from a recognized institution.
- Should have more than 05 years of relevant teaching experience in the Primary Section, preferably with Grade 5 students.
- Previous experience in preparing students for the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination will be an added advantage.
- Should have a good knowledge of the Grade 5 curriculum and Scholarship Examination requirements.
- Candidates with a proven record of achieving successful Grade 5 Scholarship results will be given preference.
- Should possess excellent communication, classroom management, creativity, and student-support skills.
