We are looking for Accountant
Panasian Power PLC Group is one of Sri Lanka’s leading renewable energy groups listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange, with over two decades of experience in developing, owning, and operating renewable energy projects across the country. The Group has established a strong presence in both mini-hydro and solar power generation and continues to expand its renewable energy portfolio in line with the nation’s transition towards sustainable energy solutions. As part of our continued growth and expansion, we are seeking a young, energetic, and results-oriented professional to join our Finance Team as an Accountant. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a diversified renewable energy business and contribute to the financial management and reporting functions of a leading renewable energy group.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the accounting and finance operations of the Group's solar power project companies and ensure compliance with established financial policies and procedures.
- Prepare consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Sri Lanka Accounting Standards (SLFRS/ LKAS) and Group policies.
- Review and monitor the financial statements, management accounts, and reconciliations prepared by subsidiary companies and ensure accuracy and consistency across the Group.
- Coordinate the month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure timely reporting by all subsidiary companies.
- Manage and ensure compliance with all taxation requirements, including income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, and other statutory obligations, while liaising with tax consultants and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and other applicable regulatory reporting requirements.
- Coordinate and oversee the annual external audit process, including the preparation of audit schedules, supporting documentation, and responses to audit queries.
- Participate in the preparation and review of the Group's Annual Report and other corporate reporting requirements.
- Monitor and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures across the Group.
- Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and variance analyses.
- Manage treasury functions, including cash flow monitoring, banking relationships, and funding requirements.
- Provide financial analysis, management information, and strategic insights to support business decision-making.
- Drive finance process improvements and support ERP implementation and enhancement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Member or Passed Finalists of CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, audit, or finance management.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements and managing statutory audit processes.
- Exposure to group reporting and multi-company accounting environments will be an added advantage.
- Experience in a listed company environment will be a distinct advantage.
- Exposure to ERP systems is essential; experience with SAP Business One (SAP B1) will be a definite advantage.
- Prior experience in the power, renewable energy, or infrastructure sectors will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of SLFRS/LKAS, taxation, financial reporting, and internal control processes.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
