Assistant Merchandiser – Production

Position Objective

To manage fabric, trims, and sample development, ensuring timely approvals, accurate testing, and coordination with factories and teams, while supporting cost control and meeting all sample and production deadlines.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review any changes to fit comments and inform relevant parties to amend fabric / trim bookings accordingly. Check with the factory on any price implication and inform the Development team.
  • Follow up on NIS Updates/Approvals, P&P Sheets; get the correct care codes confirmed by the fabric team and forward to factories on time.
  • Ensure strike offs are submitted to the UK and approvals obtained on time.
  • Follow up on bulk strike offs from the factory and ensure approvals are given before the PCD date.
  • Ensure bulk strike offs and other trims are tested and the results are available before the PCD date.
  • Follow up on bulk fabric hangers, washed hangers and forward approvals to relevant parties on time to meet the PCD date.
  • Follow up on bulk fabric test reports and ensure approvals are released prior to cutting the fabric.
  • Release POS tickets / BDC stickers in systems before the PCD date.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Production.
  • Background in Critical Path Management and On-Time Delivery is an added advantage
  • Good command of the English language
  • Sound knowledge of apparel trim items
  • Outgoing personality with good leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer literacy and proven ability to manage daily activities using various systems such as MS Office and Gmail
