We're hiring Reservation Specialist in the travel and tourism industry. A Reservation Specialist in the travel and tourism industry is responsible for handling reservations, bookings, and other related tasks to ensure a smooth and organized experience for travellers. Here are some key responsibilities and skills associated with this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage reservations for flights, hotels, rental cars, and other travel-related services.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients with inquiries, changes, and cancellations. Address and resolve any issues or concerns that may arise.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, travel agents, and internal teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Stay informed about travel destinations, accommodations, and services to provide relevant information to clients.
  • Utilize reservation systems, booking platforms, and other relevant software to process reservations efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of reservations, payments, and client information. Prepare and send confirmation emails and other relevant documentation.
  • Handle unexpected situations such as overbooking, cancellations, or changes in travel plans and provide suitable solutions.
  • Promote additional services or upgrades to enhance the customer experience and increase revenue.

  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other departments within the organization, such as sales, marketing, and operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum O/L pass mark
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years experience in the field
  • Good English knowledge
  • Experience in MS Office / Power BI
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required, and additional education or training in tourism or hospitality can be beneficial
  • Previous experience in customer service or a related field is often preferred
