JUNIOR WHARF CLERK
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS :
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in clearing and wharf operations.
- Excellent knowledge of customs clearing procedures and related documentation.
- Ability to work with and navigate the ASYCUDA system.
- Good coordination and communication skills with shipping lines, customs, clearing agents, and relevant authorities.
- Candidates residing in or around Colombo will be preferred.
- Age below 35 years.
- Male candidate
- Valid driving license
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Coordinate and monitor wharf operations to ensure smooth and timely cargo clearance.
- Handle and follow up on customs clearance documentation and procedures.
- Coordinate with Customs, Ports, Shipping Lines, Clearing Agents, and relevant authorities.
- Monitor cargo arrivals, examinations, releases, and deliveries.
- Maintain proper records of cargo movements, clearance documents, and related transactions.
- Provide regular updates to management on pending clearances, delays, and operational issues.
