CAFÉ OPERATIONS & PRODUCTION
Driver cum Operations Assistant
We are seeking a responsible, energetic and hardworking Driver cum Operations Assistant to support our café and food production operations in Colombo. The successful candidate will drive the company food truck/van and support the Operations team with deliveries, loading, unloading and transportation of food, stock and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive the company food truck/van for daily deliveries and operational requirements
- Deliver food, beverages, ingredients and supplies between our Central Kitchen and cafe outlets
- Assist with loading and unloading stock, boxes and equipment
- Collect ingredients, packaging and other supplies from vendors when required
- Support catering, events and promotional activities with transportation and setup
- Ensure all deliveries are completed safely and on schedule
- Maintain cleanliness and good condition of the assigned vehicle
- Conduct basic daily vehicle checks and promptly report maintenance requirements
- Assist the Operations team with general duties when not engaged in driving
Requirements
- Valid Sri Lankan driving licence appropriate for the company vehicle
- Previous experience driving a delivery van, food truck or light commercial vehicle preferred
- Good knowledge of Colombo and surrounding areas
- Physically fit and willing to lift and carry approximately 20–25 kg
- Responsible and safety-conscious driving record
- Punctual, honest and dependable
- Flexible and willing to assist with hands-on operational duties
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge would be an advantage
Position: Driver cum Operations Assistant
Employment: Full-Time
Location: Colombo
Salary: Competitive basic salary plus meal allowance, overtime and accommodation allowance (if required)
Start: Immediate
Salary will be determined according to the candidate's experience, licence category and suitability for the position.
CAFÉ OPERATIONS & PRODUCTION
Store Keeper
We are looking for an energetic, reliable and hands-on Store Keeper to join our team in Colombo.
Your Role
- Receive, check and record incoming stock
- Issue ingredients, packaging and supplies
- Maintain accurate inventory and stock records
- Conduct regular physical stock counts
- Monitor expiry dates, wastage and stock discrepancies
- Follow FIFO/FEFO procedures
- Prepare stock for transfer to our café outlets
- Assist with loading, unloading and deliveries to café outlets
- Ensure correct quantities are delivered and handed over
- Assist with receiving and checking imported shipments
- Maintain and organise relevant import and receiving documentation
- Coordinate with Operations, Production, Purchasing and suppliers
- Keep the store clean, organised and secure
We're Looking For
- Previous Store Keeper / Inventory experience would be an advantage
- F&B, bakery, hotel or food production experience is an advantage
- Experience handling imports, imported goods and import documentation is highly preferred
- Good spoken and written English is essential
- Must be able to understand instructions and communicate confidently in English
- Basic computer & Excel skills
- Good numerical and organisational skills
- Honest, responsible and detail-oriented
- Physically fit and willing to assist with stock handling and deliveries
- Valid driving licence is an advantage
