Senior Banking Officer / Senior Banking Associate – Retail Recoveries
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct field visits and meetings with customers to secure settlement plans related to housing loans and personal loans, with focus on non-contactable customers or cases requiring physical engagement.
- Engage potential buyers for bank-acquired properties and support disposal process, including negotiation and coordination as demonstrated in recent successful property sales.
- Maintain consistent communication with customers regarding overdue payments and settlement obligations.
- Liaise with NPA clients and branches to follow up on settlement plans, rescheduling proposals, recovery clinics, and conduct individual client visits to negotiate and finalize settlements.
- Monitor and ensure timely follow-up on settlement plans for legal cases already filed.
- Coordinate with the Legal unit of the department in order to monitor and follow up on legal cases for proactive recovery outcomes.
- Liaise with outsourced lawyers, manage case progress, and transfer retail recovery files to initiate legal action where required.
- Manage and coordinate with outsourced recovery agents for address tracing, debtor whereabouts and assignment of files.
- Issue and serve Letters of Demand as deemed necessary.
The Person
- Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience in a bank or a financial institution with exposure to recoveries.
- Full or part qualification in Banking from IBSL or any other related qualification from a reputed professional body.
- Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
- Negotiation and time management skills.
- Must possess a motorbike and a valid riding license.
- The person should have an aggression for recoveries and should be able to work independently.
