Brand Manager - Corporate Brand & Communications
We seek an exceptional strategic leader to spearhead CDB's Corporate Brand, Communications & Reputation agenda and play a defining role in shaping the institution's corporate identity, reputation and stakeholder relationships.
This is a high-impact senior leadership opportunity for a seasoned professional who can translate business strategy into a distinctive corporate narrative, strengthen institutional trust and influence how CDB is perceived and experienced by its diverse stakeholder ecosystem.
Job Profile
- Lead the development and execution of CDB's Corporate/Master Brand Strategy
- Strengthen CDB's corporate positioning, purpose, narrative, personality and brand equity
- Lead corporate communications, PR, media relations and reputation-building initiatives
- Develop compelling corporate narratives around CDB's business performance, innovation, sustainability, people and contribution to Sri Lanka
- Drive executive visibility and thought leadership for the MD/CEO and senior leadership
- Oversee communications for CSR, sustainability, financial inclusion and social-impact initiatives
- Partner with HR to strengthen CDB's Employer Brand and Employee Value Proposition
- Shape CDB's corporate digital and content strategy across relevant platforms
- Strengthen internal communications and employee brand advocacy
- Direct communications strategies for strategic partnerships, sponsorships and institutional events
- Develop and maintain issues, crisis and reputation-risk communication frameworks
- Use research, analytics, social listening and emerging AI-enabled communication capabilities to strengthen brand and communication effectiveness
- Manage agencies, budgets, performance measurement and corporate brand governance
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in Marketing, Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Business Management or a related discipline
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in brand management, corporate communications, PR, reputation management or related areas
- Strong experience in corporate branding, PR/media relations and corporate storytelling
- Proven experience in executive communications and senior stakeholder engagement
- Exposure to sustainability, CSR, employer branding and digital communications
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
- Excellent judgement, discretion and attention to detail
- Experience in banking, financial services, non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs) or another regulated industry is advantageous
- A CIM, CIPR, MBA or other relevant postgraduate or professional qualification is also an advantage
