JUNIOR EXECUTIVE I – CARD UNDERWRITING
The Job Role
- Evaluate and process credit card applications in accordance with the Bank’s credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyse applicant financial information, income documents, CRIB reports, and other supporting documents to assess creditworthiness.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of applications prior to approval or recommendation.
- Maintain agreed turnaround times (TAT) and service levels for application processing.
- Identify and escalate high-risk or exceptional cases to the relevant approving authority.
- Attend customer and branch queries relating to credit card application decisions when required.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, risk management guidelines, and audit requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to achieving departmental objectives.
The Person
- G.C.E. Advanced Level qualification. Diploma or professional qualification in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field will be an added advantage.
- Prior experience in credit card operations, underwriting, credit evaluation, lending or banking operations will be preferred.
- Sound understanding of financial statement and income assessment techniques.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and achieving service standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
