What you need to do
- Verify incoming spare parts by checking physical carton and part quantities against shipment documentation, including identifying and reporting quantity discrepancies.
- Inspect the condition of spare parts and packaging during receiving, unloading, storage and handling, and identify any damage or potential damage.
- Monitor 3PL warehouse handling and storage practices, including unloading, stacking, storage, picking, packing and vehicle loading to ensure parts are handled and protected appropriately.
- Conduct regular warehouse inspections covering racking, bulk storage, binning areas, stacking quality, housekeeping, and storage conditions.
- Identify, segregate, and clearly label damaged, wrong, unidentified, or disputed parts to prevent them from entering available inventory.
- Document and report incidents promptly, including damage, quantity discrepancies, handling issues and 3PL process deviations, supported by photographs where required.
- Maintain daily discrepancy and inspection records and provide an end-of-day control summary to the Spare Parts Manager.
- Coordinate with the 3PL Supervisor to highlight operational issues and ensure corrective actions are followed up, while maintaining an independent quality-control role.
What you need
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Automotive Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on experience in automotive spare parts warehousing, inventory quality control, 3PL monitoring, or receiving/dispatch audit operations.
- Strong knowledge of automotive spare parts cataloging, part numbering logic, and packaging standards.
- Proficiency in ERP/DMS inventory modules, basic barcode scanning workflows, and Microsoft Excel.
