ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT CUM CASHIER

Royal College Union Aquatic Club (RCUAC) invites applications from suitably qualified and motivated individuals for the position of Accounts Assistant cum Cashier.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle daily cash collections, cash payments, and banking transactions.
  • Prepare and maintain daily cash books and related financial records.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor bank transactions.
  • Prepare monthly salary and wage payments.
  • Issue invoices, receipts, and other financial documents accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain membership records, process new memberships, renewals, and member-related inquiries.
  • Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial and administrative records.
  • Prepare periodic financial and management reports as required.
  • Assist with budgeting, audits, and other accounting-related activities.
  • Coordinate with management, members, suppliers, and service providers on financial matters.
  • Perform other accounting, cashiering, and administrative duties assigned by management from time to time.

Requirements

  • Age between 22 and 45 years.
  • G.C.E. Advanced Level qualification. Part qualification in Accounting, AAT, CA Sri Lanka, CMA, or an equivalent professional qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Previous experience in accounting, cashiering, or finance-related work is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
  • Ability to read, understand, and respond to correspondence in English.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, accurately, and meet deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, reliability, and attention to detail.

Working Schedule

  • Five (05) working days per week, including Saturday.
  • Sunday and one weekday will be provided as weekly off days.
  • Working hours as determined by the management.
