About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and technically strong QA Automation Lead to lead our quality engineering and test automation function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, mentor, and provide technical guidance to the QA and test automation team.
- Define and implement comprehensive QA strategies, test plans, quality standards, and quality gates.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks for web and API applications.
- Develop automated tests using technologies such as Playwright, Selenium, Python, Java, or similar frameworks.
- Establish effective automation practices to improve regression coverage, test efficiency, and release confidence.
- Design and execute API testing for REST/SOAP services using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, SoapUI, or equivalent.
- Plan and coordinate SIT, UAT, regression, sanity, integration, and production validation activities.
- Work closely with Software Development, DevOps, Infrastructure, Product, and Business teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Investigate complex application issues using logs, database queries, APIs, monitoring and observability tools where required.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with significant experience in test automation and a proven track record in a QA leadership or technical lead role.
- Strong hands-on experience in test automation framework development.
- Excellent experience with Playwright and/or Selenium, with programming experience in Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Strong experience in API testing, including REST/SOAP services.
- Experience in performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter, Locust, k6, Gatling, or similar.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum software development and QA methodologies.
