SENIOR MANAGER / MANAGER - AUDIT QUALITY MONITORING
As the National Professional Accountancy Organisation, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) plays a pivotal role in advancing the accounting profession, enhancing audit quality, and strengthening public confidence in financial reporting and assurance services.
In line with its commitment to uphold the highest standards of audit quality and professional excellence, CA Sri Lanka invites applications from accomplished, experienced, and highly respected Chartered Accountants to join its Audit Quality Monitoring Division.
POSITIONS
- Senior Manager - Audit Quality Monitoring (With over 10 years of post-qualification experience)
- Manager - Audit Quality Monitoring (Approximately 5 years of post-qualification experience)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidates will contribute towards strengthening audit quality and promoting continuous improvement within the profession through:
- Assessing and evaluating the operating effectiveness of compliance with Sri Lanka Standard on Quality Management (SLSQM 1).
- Reviewing, analysing, and evaluating audit-quality related information and evidence with a high degree of professional skepticism.
- Exercising sound professional judgment in assessing the quality of professional practices of practicing firms.
- Engaging with Partners, Directors and senior executives of audit firms on audit quality, quality management and professional standards.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Applicants should possess
- Membership of CA Sri Lanka.
- Significant post-qualification experience in auditing, audit quality and quality management.
- Sound and up-to-date knowledge of Sri Lanka Auditing Standards (SLAUS) and Sri Lanka Accounting Standards.
- Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
- High standards of integrity, independence, objectivity, professional scepticism, and professional judgment.
- Willingness to undertake on-site visits, travel frequently and meet demanding deadlines.
- Professionals who have retired from full-time roles or taken career breaks for family commitments, and possess up-to-date technical knowledge, are encouraged to apply for flexible or part-time engagement opportunities.
