SENIOR EXECUTIVE – AIRLINE CARGO SALES

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive cargo sales and maximize available cargo capacity from Colombo to achieve the airline principal's revenue and tonnage targets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders, shippers, and key accounts to strengthen brand loyalty.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the commodity base and destination mix.
- Build a strong network within the cargo industry to support commercial objectives.
- Negotiate rates, and monitor market trends and competitor activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams and airline principals to ensure efficient cargo operations.
- Delegate responsibilities, provide clear direction, and effectively manage workflow.
- Prepare regular sales, performance, and market reports.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Minimum 10 years of experience in leisure travel management, including 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong understanding of international travel markets, supplier relationships, and destination management.
- Demonstrated ability to drive commercial performance and lead teams to achieve ambitious goals.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strategic mindset with a passion for creating exceptional travel experiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant cargo or CRM systems would be an advantage.
- Diploma in Cargo Operations from a recognized institution would be an advantage.
