EXECUTIVE – INTERNATIONAL TRADE & PARTNERSHIPS
The National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) is looking for a dynamic and result-oriented individual to join our team and support the growth of Sri Lanka's export sector.
Key Responsibilities
Overseas Market & Mission Coordination
- Coordinate with Sri Lankan Embassies, High Commissions and Trade Officers overseas.
- Gather and communicate market intelligence and trade opportunities to NCE members.
- Coordinate meetings and engagements between exporters and overseas missions.
International & Local Partnerships
- Identify and develop partnerships with overseas trade chambers and local organizations.
- Support the preparation and execution of MoUs and partnership agreements.
- Coordinate joint programmes, webinars, business meetings and other collaborative initiatives.
- Follow up on partnership action points and ensure timely implementation.
Business Delegations & Exhibitions
- Coordinate inward and outward business delegations and trade exhibitions.
- Conduct member surveys to identify priority markets and business interests.
- Coordinate with overseas missions and chambers to arrange B2B meetings.
- Promote participation and support effective member engagement.
Funding & Development Partnerships
- Identify potential funding agencies and establish relationships.
- Assist in preparing project proposals and funding applications.
- Coordinate meetings with funding agencies and follow up on proposals.
Member Engagement & Communication
- Keep members informed of market opportunities, trade developments and partnership benefits.
- Support promotional activities, social media awareness and post-event communications.
- Maintain stakeholder databases and ensure regular follow-up.
Ideal Candidate
- Excellent communication, coordination and interpersonal skills
- Strong interest in international trade, exports and business development
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with government agencies, diplomatic missions, chambers and the private sector
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Good written and spoken English
- Experience in export development, trade promotion, business development, chamber work or a related field will be an advantage
