HSE OFFICER
This position is available in the HSE & Security Department in Colombo port terminal and will report to General Manager – HSE & Security.
The Role
This position is responsible for supporting HSE activities in the Terminal Operations and it includes, ensuring a safe work environment, compliant with HSE policies, practices and regulations.
The Person - Qualifications, Experience and other Attributes
- Possessed a Diploma or Certificate (full/part) in Occupational Health & Safety (Eg: Nebosh / IOSH etc.) from a recognised institute and should be possessed with GCE A/L.
- Minimum 02 years experience in a similar capacity with hands on experience in managing Health, Safety & Environment in an industrial sector companies.
- Experience in port operations will be an added advantage.
- Should posses adequate capabilities in MS Office packages and valid vehicle driving license for dual purpose vehicles.
- Good communication skills in both Sinhala & English language (Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening) and presentation skills.
- Ability in multitasking and working under pressure in a port operation environment will be an added advantage.
- Should be available to work on shift basis (Night & Day Shifts) and respond to emergencies on timely manner.
