LAB ASSISTANT – QUALITY ASSURANCE
Motha Confectionery Works (Pvt) Ltd, the undisputed leader in Sri Lanka's dessert and beverage mixes and baking ingredients products, with a proud history of over 60 years, is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our ISO 22000 certified production plant in Bollhalla, Ganemulla.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the QA team in daily quality assurance and laboratory activities.
- Conduct sampling and routine physical and chemical testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished products.
- Monitor quality parameters during production and packing processes.
- Monitor incoming & in-processing quality parameters.
- Perform other QA related duties assigned to the QA team.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- A Diploma, Higher Diploma, HND or Degree in Science, Chemistry, Food Technology, Laboratory Technology, Applied Science, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in QA, QC, or laboratory work, preferably in food manufacturing.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory testing, measurements, scientific calculations and laboratory practices.
- Knowledge of GMP, food hygiene, and food safety standards will be an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Good communication skills in Sinhala and English.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, responsible, and willing to learn.
- Candidates residing in Ganemulla and surrounding areas are especially encouraged to apply.
REMUNERATION
The remuneration package is negotiable and will be in line with industry standards.
