Director – Quality Control Audit & Assurance
Job Responsibilities:
- Independently review audit files before finalization and issuance of audit reports
- Assess compliance with ISA, IFRS and the firm’s internal quality standards.
- Review financial statements and disclosures for reporting compliance.
- Evaluate significant audit judgements, conclusions and supporting documentation.
- Identify audit file gaps and communicate review points to engagement teams.
- Verify that quality control findings are addressed before engagement completion.
- Maintain independent, objective oversight focused on file quality, not client management.
- Manage concurrent reviews under demanding engagement completion deadlines.
- Provide technical guidance and remain current with audit and reporting standards.
Requirements:
- CA qualified with a minimum 5 years of external audit experience; 2 years of post-qualification experience is preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge and practical application of IFRS.
- Sound understanding of ISA and audit documentation requirements.
- Audit file, engagement quality or technical review experience is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills, professional judgement and attention to detail.
- Ability to independently identify technical and documentation deficiencies.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining review quality. High standards of integrity, independence and communication skills.
