Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for Life Underwriting, ensuring robust risk assessment, sound underwriting governance and consistent application of the Company's underwriting philosophy and standards.
- Drive underwriting performance and portfolio profitability through effective risk selection, performance oversight, portfolio management and continuous enhancement of underwriting practices.
- Lead the strategic growth of the Group Life business, encompassing portfolio development, product structuring, client acquisition and retention and key stakeholder relationship management.
- Develop and strengthen underwriting frameworks, policies and processes in alignment with regulatory requirements, reinsurance arrangements, underwriting best practices and overall risk appetite.
- Lead and oversee underwriting initiatives including product development, complex risk decisions, regulatory compliance and cross-functional projects.
- Ensure effective governance, operational excellence and control across underwriting and related operations, safeguarding confidentiality and integrity of information and risk management standards.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree / Degree / Special Degree / Professional Qualification or Equivalent related to the functional area from a University/Institute approved by UGC.
- MBA will be preferred.
- Age below 50 years.
Relevant Experience:
- Minimum 07 years' experience in Senior Managerial Grade with overall more than 12 years' experience in the relevant field.
