ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE
CEIAL Freight & Logistics (Pvt) Ltd, a newly established company within the CEIAL Group, is engaged in providing reliable, efficient and cost-effective freight, transportation and logistics solutions. As we expand our operational presence and financial activities, we are seeking a dynamic, experienced and results-oriented professional to join our team as Accounts Executive.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
- Petty Cash Management
- Preparation of VAT Return.
- Handle invoice verification, payment processing, expense tracking, and ensure proper documentation and authorization for all financial transactions.
- Monitor debtor balances, follow up on outstanding collections, and assist in credit control to maintain a healthy cash flow.
- Preparation of quarterly management accounts and financial statements.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely billing, accurate pricing, and proper accounting of transport and logistics costs.
- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, IRD and financial institutions as required to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company policies.
REQUIREMENTS
- A degree or professional qualification in Finance or Accounting such as the intermediate stage of CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, CIMA, or a related field would be a distinct advantage.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or a similar corporate environment, with experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain industries being an added advantage.
- Strong proficiency in bookkeeping, general ledger management, and financial reporting principles.
- Good understanding of tax regulations, statutory compliance such as VAT and income tax, and financial auditing procedures and RAMIS System.
- Excellent computer literacy, particularly in MS Excel, MS Office, and computerized accounting software or ERP systems (Tally).
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
