Job Description
StudyMate
Subject Teachers Wanted
Flexible-hours, part-time assignments
Cambridge IGCSE and Pearson Edexcel International GCSE
Posts: Maths | Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) | English
ABOUT US:
StudyMate (studymate.lk) is an AI tutor that explains schoolwork step by step, in English. For Cambridge and Edexcel students, each answer ends with a short 'How the marks are earned' section. We are adding qualified teachers so that every answer is exam-correct and students get real help when the AI is not enough.
YOUR WORK EACH MONTH:
- 1. Review: read 20 to 30 of the tutor's answers in your subject. Mark anything an examiner would not accept (wrong working, wrong method or mark allocation, wrong terms).
- 2. Sign off: tell us in writing whether the subject is correct for the exam board, and list what to fix.
- 3. Answer students: reply to the hard questions students send to a teacher, within 24 hours.
- 4. Own materials only: do not copy past papers or official mark schemes. Write in your own words.
- Time: about 10 to 12 hours a month. You choose your own hours.
- Fee: a flat Rs 50,000 a month for your subject. It does not depend on the number of questions or students.
- Trial: 2 months. After that, both sides decide whether to continue.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
qualified teacher with at least 2 years of Cambridge IGCSE or Edexcel International GCSE teaching experience in your subject. Experience as an examiner or marker for either board is an advantage. Clear written English; reliable with deadlines.
