Country Operations Manager

HBL Sri Lanka is looking for a Country Operations Manager to lead the Bank's operations. The role will oversee Branch Operations, Trade Finance Operations, Treasury Operations, IT, Remittances & Clearing, Account Opening, and Customer Service. This is a key leadership role focused on ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining a strong control environment, enhancing service delivery, and driving process improvements across both markets. The successful candidate will work closely with Business, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams to strengthen operations efficiency, manage risk, and support the Bank's growth agenda while delivering a seamless experience for clients.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Banking, Business Administration, Finance, Management, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree and/or professional banking qualification will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of banking operations regulatory requirements, risk management, AML/CFT, and internal controls.
- Proven senior leadership experience, stakeholder management, and people management skills.
- Minimum 15 years of banking experience, including significant senior leadership experience in operations within the banking services sector.
