Core Responsibilities
- Landed Costing: Compile comprehensive cost sheets factoring in CIF, freight, clearing, and terminal handling charges (THC).
- Duty Calculations: Compute multi-tiered import taxes including CID, PAL, CESS, SSSL, and VAT sequentially.
- Documentation: Verify and reconcile Customs Declarations (CUSDECs), Bills of Loading (B/L), Letters of Credit (L/C), and Proforma Invoices.
- Financial Accounting: Manage daily accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and ensure timely statutory filing of monthly VAT, SVAT, and corporate tax schedules.
Candidate Profile
- Qualifications: Part qualification in CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, CIMA, or full qualification in AAT.
- Experience: Prior experience in import costing, customs documentation, and RAMIS/IRT systems will be a distinct advantage.
- Skills: High proficiency in MS Excel and Quick Book accounting software. Strong analytical skills and extreme attention to detail.
- Attributes: Ability to work independently, meet strict statutory deadlines, and work collaboratively within a team.
