POST OF ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER (IT) - SPECIAL GRADE
National Savings Bank (NSB), a leading Licensed Specialized Bank in Sri Lanka, has been serving the nation since 1972, with a strong commitment to promoting savings, financial security, and customer service excellence. The Bank invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Assistant General Manager-IT-Special Grade.
THE PERSON
- A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or any other discipline relevant to Information Technology from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka
- A Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in Information Technology including at least five years in a managerial capacity within a financial institution regulated by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL)
- Extensive knowledge of banking technology systems, IT infrastructure, software development, database management, and cybersecurity
- Proven experience in IT strategy, digital transformation, IT project management, and the implementation and maintenance of core banking systems
- Professional qualifications in IT, cybersecurity, project management, or information systems will be an added advantage.
- Should be a Sri Lankan citizen.
THE JOB
- Develop and implement the Bank's IT strategy in alignment with corporate objectives and digital transformation priorities.
- Oversee the management, maintenance, and enhancement of core banking systems, IT infrastructure networks and digital banking platforms
- Lead technology modernization, system integration, automation, and digital transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Ensure robust cybersecurity, data protection, and business continuity arrangements.
- Ensure compliance with CBSL regulations, applicable IT standards, and internal policies.
- Manage IT projects, budgets, vendors, and technology investments to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
- Strengthen IT risk management, system availability, service quality, and staff capability across the Bank.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
This position will be on permanent basis subject to a probationary period of one year.
REMUNERATION
An attractive monthly remuneration package exceeding Rs. 600,000/- will be offered to the selected candidates for the position of Assistant General Manager.
In addition, the package includes:
- A guaranteed annual bonus equivalent to two months' gross salary.
- A performance-based bonus.
- A medical assistance scheme covering immediate family members.
- Housing and other staff loans at concessional interest rates.
- A superannuation scheme with both Provident Fund and ETF benefits.
- A non-contributory pension scheme, with eligibility contingent upon a minimum of 10 years' service in the Bank
