Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor workplace health and safety policies, procedures, and programmes.
- Conduct workplace inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and employee awareness programmes.
- Monitor fire safety systems, emergency preparedness, evacuation arrangements, and emergency drills.
- Ensure the proper use of PPE and compliance with safe work practices.
- Monitor contractor safety, permit-to-work systems, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements.
- Maintain EHS documentation, inspection records, incident reports, and compliance registers.
- Support environmental management, waste management, and relevant regulatory inspections.
Candidate Profile
- Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), or a related field.
- Relevant experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of occupational safety legislation, risk assessments, incident investigation, fire safety, and emergency response.
- Good communication, report-writing, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Computer literacy and the ability to maintain EHS records and documentation.
