Senior Earthing & Lightning Protection Design Engineer
Join our specialist engineering team and play a key technical role in the design and analysis of earthing, grounding and lightning protection systems for complex projects across multiple sectors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design earthing and lightning protection systems for complex electrical projects
- Carry out earthing studies and simulations using CDEGS
- Soil resistivity analysis and soil modelling
- Earth grid modelling including EPR/GPR, touch and step voltage assessments
- Fault current distribution and system performance analysis
- Lightning protection design, calculations and specifications
- Prepare engineering reports, calculations and technical documentation
- Provide technical guidance and review designs by other engineers
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and other disciplines
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and best practice
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 years' relevant engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with CDEGS
- Strong understanding of earthing system design (soil modelling, fault current, EPR/GPR, touch & step voltage)
- Experience designing lightning protection systems
- Knowledge of IEC/EN 62305, BS 7430, IEEE 80, EN 50522 and other relevant standards
- Ability to produce high-quality technical reports and design documentation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to manage and deliver technical work independently
