Quality Control & Technical Executive
(working at office / from home)
We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our team, responsible for quality control, technical coordination and production management of premium-quality newborn and children’s garments. The successful candidate will be based at our office in Nawala, Rajagiriya.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain quality standards for newborn and children’s garments
- Inspect samples, pre-production, inline and final production
- Monitor sewing quality, measurements, workmanship and finishing
- Identify quality issues and implement appropriate corrective actions
- Train production staff on quality requirements and workmanship standards
- Ensure garments meet company quality standards and specifications
- Coordinate with designers, sample rooms, production teams and suppliers to achieve required quality standards
- Monitor production processes and ensure adherence to approved specifications and quality requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in newborn and children’s garment manufacturing or quality management in a buying office
- Candidates with experience as a Quality Controller, Quality Supervisor, Production Supervisor, Garment Technical Executive or Sewing Technician – Baby Garments are encouraged to apply
- Strong knowledge of quality control procedures for knit and woven baby garments
- Good understanding of garment construction, sewing techniques and production processes
- Ability to identify and rectify sewing defects, measurement issues, fabric faults and finishing defects
- Experience in handling quality inspections from sample development through to final production
- Ability to prepare and maintain quality standards and inspection reports
- Knowledge of Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) inspection procedures will be an added advantage
- Familiarity with baby garment safety requirements, including secure attachments, seam strength, labelling and finishing standards
- Ability to work closely with designers, sample rooms, production teams and suppliers to achieve required quality levels
- Strong communication, problem-solving and team management skills
- Computer literacy, including MS Office
- Possession of a valid driving/riding license
- Age between 40–50 years
