Multichemmi International Limited is one of the largest Sri Lankan detergent manufacturers, producing international standard, biodegradable, and environmentally friendly detergents across laundry care, household care and car care categories. Our brands include ‘Dash’, ‘Safematic’, ‘Comox’, ‘Gliz’, ‘Spring Time’, ‘Safel’, ‘Magic Soft’ and ‘Bonita’.

Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Multichemmi International Limited is seeking a committed and results-oriented Chief Operating Officer to oversee its day-to-day operations under the supervision of the Chairman/Managing Director. The successful candidate shall have strong manufacturing experience and the ability to lead teams, improve performance and coordinate all major operational functions.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee manufacturing, production planning, quality assurance, procurement, inventory, warehousing, logistics and maintenance
- Supervise financial and accounting functions in coordination with the finance team, including budgeting, cash flow, cost control, internal controls and management reporting
- Lead operational planning and ensure that resources, capacity and supply arrangements support business requirements
- Oversee human resources, administration, information systems and other support functions
- Drive improvements in productivity, efficiency, product quality and cost management
- Ensure workplace safety, regulatory compliances and adherence to company policies and applicable standards
- Set KPIs, review departmental results and address operational issues promptly
- Provide regular reports and recommendations to the Chairman/Managing Director and implement decisions made by the management
Candidate profile:
- Substantial senior management experience in a manufacturing business, with responsibility for multiple operational functions
- A proven record of improving operational performance and managing teams
- Sound understanding of financial reports, budgeting and cost control
- Strong leadership, planning, problem-solving and communication skills
- A relevant degree or professional qualification
- Experience in FMCG or consumer product manufacturing will be an advantage
- A high level of commitment, integrity and accountability
