Sands Active (Pvt) Limited is (a subsidiary of Melwa Group) a BOI approved state of the art pharmaceutical manufacturing company by partnering with the State Pharmaceutical Corporation Sri Lanka with the intention to fulfill local pharmaceutical related demands.
Junior Civil Engineer
- Duties and responsibilities:
- Supervise site construction works on daily basis.
- Preparation of gantt charts, project schedules and evaluation of progress to ensure within the budget with no delays.
- Checking of technical designs and drawings to complete the projects without faults.
- Exposure with MEP works with coordination of all forms of sub contractors (CML, MEP).
- Effective utilisation of site workers.
- Able to complete maintenance works when it deems necessary.
- Minimize resource consumption and waste, and actively contribute to creating a greener and more sustainable workplace.
- Qualifications and Experience:
- HND or NCT in Civil Engineering.
- 04 years' building experience from a reputed major construction company in Sri Lanka.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work long working hours.
Mechanical Technicians
- Duties and responsibilities:
- Corrective breakdown handling in every system (QC block, General Block and Utilities).
- Preventive Maintenance in Quality Control and Admin buildings.
- All the TIG/ARC welding.
- Face Mask machine maintenance.
- Preventive Maintenance in the Utility block.
- Preventive Maintenance in all the water systems (6 Major Systems).
- Preventive Maintenance in all AHUs (QC block 4, General block 33).
- Maintenance of General block Machineries.
- New machinery installations related work.
- Minimize resource consumption and waste, and actively contribute to creating a greener and more sustainable workplace.
- Qualifications and Experience:
- NVQ Level 3 or above in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 03 years' experience as a Mechanic from a leading manufacturing company.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work holidays with long working hours.
Water Treatment Plant Technicians
- Duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for overall operation of water treatment plant.
- Maintain, attend repairs connected to the water treatment plant equipment.
- Keep records of all maintenance, repairs.
- Preparation of water treatment chemicals as per the standard operation procedures.
- Minimize resource consumption and waste, and actively contribute to creating a greener and more sustainable workplace.
- Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or NVQ Level 03.
- Minimum of 03 years' water treatment plant experience in a reputable manufacturing company.
- Experience in pharmaceutical industry would be added advantage.
- Ability to work holidays with long working hours.
