Manager - Electrical Engineer

Location: 147/D Dandugama, Ja-Ela

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and supervise all electrical maintenance activities to ensure reliable operations and minimum downtime.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage upcoming projects at Tharindu Farm by giving proper attention to planning, feasibility, and successful implementation.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs for electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
  • Maintain and monitor electrical installations, transformers, generators, power distribution systems, motors, transformers, and control systems.
  • Supervise electricians and technicians, allocate duties, and ensure timely completion of maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate with production and other departments to minimize machine breakdowns and operational disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures, occupational health and safety requirements, and relevant statutory standards.
  • Manage electrical spare parts, tools, maintenance costs, external contractors, and energy-saving initiatives.
  • Maintain maintenance records and reports, support new installations and commissioning, and perform other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional electrical qualification or certification.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably with supervisory/managerial experience.
  • Experience in industrial electrical systems and factory environments is preferred.
  • Knowledge of motors, control panels, generators, transformers, PLC systems, and industrial electrical installations will be an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, troubleshooting, planning, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage a team of electricians and technicians effectively.
