Sands Active (Pvt) Limited is (a subsidiary of Melwa Group) a BOI approved state of the art pharmaceutical manufacturing company by partnering with the State Pharmaceutical Corporation Sri Lanka with the intention to fulfill local pharmaceutical related demand.
WATER TREATMENT PLANT TECHNICIANS
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for overall operation of water treatment plant.
- Maintain, attend repairs to the water treatment plant equipment.
- Keep records of all maintenance, repairs.
- Preparation of water treatment chemicals as per the standard operating procedures.
- Qualifications and Experience
- Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or NVQ Level 04.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a water treatment plant environment would be an added advantage.
- Experience in pharmaceutical industry would be an added advantage.
ELECTRICAL TECHNICIANS
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Reading technical diagrams to determine the placement of outlets and fixtures.
- Installing wiring, outlets, and controls.
- Maintenance of electrical systems.
- Maintaining electrical switches and circuit breakers to ensure they are up to code.
- Qualifications and Experience
- NVQ Level 03 or above in Electrical Engineering.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work holidays with long working hours.
MECHANICAL TECHNICIANS
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Corrective breakdown handling in every system (QA Block and General Block and Utilities).
- Preventive Maintenance in Quality Control and Admin buildings.
- Assist with installations and commissioning of new machinery.
- General mechanical maintenance and related work as required.
- Qualifications and Experience
- NVQ Level 3 or above in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Mechanic.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work holidays with long working hours.
HVAC TECHNICIANS
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Operation and Maintenance of AHUs (Quality Control and General Buildings).
- Temperature, RH and DP maintenance in conditioned areas.
- Operation and Maintenance of the chiller system.
- Maintenance of HVAC systems in the relevant areas.
- Qualifications and Experience
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a HVAC Technician.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work holidays with long working hours.
