We are ready to launch our modern state-of-the-art Logistics facility operations in Katunayake EPZ. We are looking for dynamic and highly motivated people for our newest supply chain arm, DGL FREEZONE Pvt Ltd. at Katunayake.
JUNIOR EXECUTIVE – FINANCE
DGL Freezone is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Executive - Finance to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise invoices for all import and export jobs of DGL Free Zone accurately and on a timely basis.
- Record supplier invoices and ensure correct job allocation.
- Review job costing entered and update the costs based on actual supplier invoices.
- Handle and maintain petty cash, including recording transactions and preparing petty cash reconciliations.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Verify supplier invoices and supporting documents before processing.
- Assist with supplier and customer statement reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and other general accounting activities.
- Prepare payment vouchers and assist with supplier payment processing.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and preparation of finance schedules and reports.
- Perform any other finance-related duties assigned by the Finance Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- Part qualification in AAT / CIMA / ACCA or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Experience in invoicing, accounts payable, job costing or general accounting will be an added advantage.
- Experience in the logistics, freight forwarding or shipping industry will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting systems.
- Knowledge of CargoWise will be an added advantage.
- Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
