We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated person of good character with professional qualifications, ethics and with outstanding communication skills for the post of Assistant Manager- Security & Investigation to achieve departmental goals and targets. The successful candidate will report to the Security & Investigation Manager and be responsible for tasks optimizing the productivity of the company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Responsible to assist the Security and Investigation Manager to support Security and Investigation procedures of the company to maintain smooth operation, discipline, and efficiency at all times.
- Assist the Security and Investigation Manager to implement and provide a high level of security service based on the requirements and recommendations of the Civil Aviation Authority Sri Lanka, Airport & Aviation Services Sri Lanka (AASL), and other relevant authorities.
- Ensure safeguarding of Sri Lankan Catering Premises, properties & all other internal/external stakeholders inside the SLC premises at any given time.
- Advise and manage all security systems in use and advise management on all aspects of security standards.
- Establish and maintain access control systems including checking of personnel, baggage, body frisking and all kinds of goods at entry and exit points of the premises.
- Monitor performance of the contract security company to ensure adequate security coverage in order to prevent/detect pilferage, unauthorized items/goods, and other wanton damage, sabotage, etc.
- Conduct inquiries/preliminary investigations as per the directives given by the Management and produce reports required for the disciplinary actions.
- Ensure close observations through CCTV monitoring for any irregularities/incidents and conduct investigations based on evidence.
- Ensure all procurement transactions are fully supported with required documentation, including bid evaluations, contracts, warranties, performance guarantees, and payment records, in line with audit and compliance standards.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized university / Military Academy in a similar field.
- MBA in Management or an equivalent postgraduate qualification would be an added advantage.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a similar capacity, preferably with prior service in the Police force at the rank of Inspector or above, or in the Armed Forces as a Commissioned Officer.
- Strong knowledge of investigation procedures, evidence handling, incident reporting, and security risk assessment.
- Experience dealing with government authorities, and external security agencies would be an advantage.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and professional when handling sensitive investigations.
- The role requires the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines with confidence is essential. Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, along with proven capabilities in negotiation, employee relations, problem-solving, and analytical thinking, will be highly advantageous.
