We are seeking a skilled professional to step into the role of Fabric Procurement and Senior Merchandiser. If you can optimize resource usage to the best advantage to meet sample deadlines and meet the critical path deadlines, develop trims and embellishment on time, find innovative ways to ensure perfect first time bulk samples are released. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute merchandising strategies to drive business growth and achieve organizational goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product designs meet customer needs and expectations.
- Act as a key link to the developments team and be aware of all their activities and communicate to your team what is needed.
- Attending to preproduction/hand over meetings.
- Liaising with fabric mills, Trim suppliers for sourcing of raw material and follow up on bulk orders.
- Follow up with suppliers on bulk sample submission & approvals.
- Attending to weekly progress meetings & daily pre-production meetings.
- Follow up on the Testing approvals, Fabric / Trim Delivery dates.
- Liaising with 3rd party labs on all testing’s.
- Liaising with the Mills on the Fabric TC, BCI Points to transfer to customer.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years’ in a similar capacity in the apparel industry.
- In-depth knowledge of apparel industry and products, including vendors, features, benefits, etc.
- Previous experience in working for a multi cultured environment will be an added advantage.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English communication skill is a must.
- Possess outstanding client relationship management skill and negotiation skills.
- Outgoing personality with good leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong PC literacy and proven ability to manage daily activities using various systems such as MS Office and Gmail.
