PRODUCTION ASSISTANT-BLOW MOLDING OPERATIONS
Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), a leading beverage manufacturer in Sri Lanka, invites applications from energetic and technically competent candidates for the position of Production Assistant - Blow Molding Operations based at our Mathugama Plant, Ittapane.
The selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Operate and monitor Blow Molding machines to achieve production, quality, safety, efficiency, and cost targets.
- Perform machine start-up, mold changeovers, shutdowns, and line clearance activities according to standard operating procedures.
- Monitor production output, bottle quality, OEE, wastage, and process parameters, taking corrective actions when required.
- Carry out troubleshooting and root cause analysis to minimize downtime and quality defects.
- Support preventive maintenance (PM), autonomous maintenance (AM), and basic machine care activities.
- Ensure proper mold installation, alignment, cooling system operation, and process stability.
- Maintain compliance with GMP, Food Safety, HACCP, FSSC, HSE, and housekeeping requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Stores teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Participate in continuous improvement, cost reduction, waste reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency enhancement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate production records, machine logs, and shift reports.
The Ideal Candidate Should Possess
- NVQ Level 4 or above in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
- Additionally required 3 years of blow molding experience as main operator.
- Qualifications from NAB, ATI, TTI, Technical College, German Technical Training Institute, or equivalent professional institutions.
- Sound knowledge of Blow Molding processes, machine operation, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of OEE, production efficiency, quality control, yield improvements, and wastage reduction.
- Experience in beverage, FMCG, plastics, packaging, manufacturing, or process industries will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work on shift basis, including night shifts.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, discipline, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
