Maintenance Engineer
We are a ISO certified Company engaged in manufacturing high quality electrical products, lighting and cable management systems for over 45 years and are looking for a smart, dynamic and passionate individual for the following position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities for production machinery and utilities.
- Ensure maximum machine availability and minimize downtime through effective troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Lead maintenance projects, machine installations, modifications, and improvement initiatives.
- Implement and sustain maintenance best practices, TPM activities, and continuous improvement programs.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Candidate Profile:
- BSc or NDT or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Injection Moulding operations.
- Strong knowledge of PLC-controlled machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and utility equipment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Male candidates below 40 years of age are preferred.
Position: Production and Quality Executive
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute production plans to achieve production targets and KPIs.
- Maintain product quality standards and minimize non-conformances.
- Manage ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and SLSI product certification requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement, waste reduction, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Manage production and inventory transactions through the ERP system.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and housekeeping standards.
- Develop, coach, and motivate the production and quality teams to achieve operational excellence and foster a high-performance culture.
Candidate Profile:
- Degree or Diploma in Polymer or Manufacturing or Physical Science from a recognized institute.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in injection moulding and/or extrusion will be a definite advantage.
- Familiarity with ERP systems will be an added advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
- Male candidates below 35 years of age are preferred.
- Candidates residing close to Mathugama will be given preference.
