CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: PROJECT DIRECTORS / CONSULTANTS

(GRANT-BASED & PERFORMANCE-LINKED) 

The Future World Organization (Incorporated by Parliament Act No. 50 of 2009)

The Future World Organization (idirilokaya Organization in Sinhala Act), a legally incorporated non-profit entity under Act No. 50 of 2009, is reactivating its core operations and launching high-impact social, environmental, and community development initiatives. We invite experienced, result-driven, and passionate Project Directors / Proposal Developers to join us as project-based leaders.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Climate Action & Environment: Ecosystem restoration, circular economy, and community forestry.
  • Gender Equality & Women’s Empowerment: Micro-entrepreneurship and community support networks.
  • Youth Leadership & Skills Development: Vocational training, digital skills, and civic engagement.
  • Disaster Resilience & Emergency Relief: Smart community-based disaster response and risk reduction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and submit competitive project proposals (Grant Proposals) to bilateral, multilateral, and embassy grant programs        (e.g., USAID, EU, UNDP, GIZ, DFAT, CFLI).
  • Lead, manage, and oversee the execution of approved projects under the guidance and strategic policies of the organization’s  Board of Management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven record of accomplishment in project management within the NGO, CSO, or international development sectors.
  • Strong expertise in grant writing, proposal development, and donor liaison.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Remuneration & Engagement Terms:

  • Engagement Model: This is a Project-Based / Performance-Linked Engagement.
  • Compensation: As the organization is currently in its reactivation phase, salaries, consultation fees, travel, and operational          allowances will be directly budgeted into and funded through the approved project grants secured from donor organizations.
  • Governance & Authority: Selected candidates will be formally appointed as fully empowered "Project Directors" for their    respective project verticals, subject to the provisions of Act No. 50 of 2009 and the oversight of the Board of Management.
