TRAINEE DATA ANALYTICS

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Data Analytics Intern will play a vital supporting role within our Kids & Teens operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring data professional to gain hands-on experience with modern data infrastructure in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will work closely with senior analysts to maintain databases, clean datasets, and generate operational reports that directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Education
Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
- Technical Foundations
- Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases (MS SQL Server preferred).
- Familiarity with Python for basic data manipulation.
- Exposure to business intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau through coursework or personal projects.
- Skills
Strong problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and a genuine eagerness to learn complex enterprise systems (including Azure).
- Attributes
Excellent communication skills, a team-player mindset, and the ability to manage time effectively in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Data Extraction & Cleaning
Assist in writing foundational MS SQL queries to pull daily operational data and utilize Python scripts to clean and format datasets for analysis.
- Report Generation
Support the generation of daily and weekly performance reports, updating Power BI dashboards that track patient access and administrative workflows.
- Quality Assurance
Help audit data inputs to ensure accuracy in clinic-level reporting, such as tracking vaccine inventory data and verifying chart completion timelines.
- Cloud Operations Support
Gain exposure to Microsoft Azure by assisting the team in monitoring automated data flows and maintaining documentation for data processes.
- Team Collaboration
Participate in weekly regional huddles, taking on ad-hoc analytical tasks and learning how to translate business questions into data-driven answers.
