FACTORY ELECTRICIAN

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain, inspect and troubleshoot factory electrical distribution systems, and motors and control equipment.
- Work with three-phase power systems, motor starters, soft starters and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- Diagnose faults in PLCs, sensors, transducer loops, or relay panels and control circuits.
- Read and interpret single-line diagrams, electrical floor plans and control-cabinet schematics.
- Carry out electrical test using digital multimeters, insulation-laine (Megger) testers, earth-loop impedance testers and clamp meters.
- Follow lock-out-tag-out (LOTO) procedure and all factory electrical safety requirements.
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
- National Vocational NVQ Level 3 or Level in the relevant electrical field.
- At least 2-3 years of relevant factory experience.
- Practical PLCs, sensors, control and kollte ability.
- Practical knowledge of 415V three-phase power adaption, star-delta, soft starters, starters and VFDs.
- Familiarity with Sil Lankan safety requirements, earthing fire-safety precautions and statutory equipment registers.
- Strong commitment to safety, punctuality and regombty.
