Technical Assistant - Faculty of Technology
Center: Sustainable Agricultural and Environmental Research Center (SAERC – Green Core)
You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the SAERC-Green Core Center by providing administrative and academic support, coordinating activities, and serving as a liaison between students and the department.
The Role
- Supervise and maintain the field by developing new guidelines, maintaining procedures manuals, and innovations.
- Contribute to the relevant academic assignments and modules within the SAERC – Green Core.
- Manage the day-to-day activities within the center, including the Tissue Culture Laboratory, Poly-tunnels, net-houses, and hydroponic units.
- Contribute to develop the SAERC, the Green Core, High Technological Research Area, and the Green Core Field operations.
- Participate and oversee arrangements for departmental events, meetings, conferences, and field activities.
- Contribute to obtain research grants and publish findings in scholarly journals or books.
Requirements
- A Degree / Diploma in Tissue Culture from a recognized university.
- A minimum of 01 year of work experience in a related field.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Work Location: SLTC Padukka
