POST OF MECHANICAL ENGINEER - PROJECTS
ABOUT US
We are a leading Engineering Company engaged in the field of E&M contracts in water supply and pumping projects for over the last twenty-five years.
Due to expansion of business, we are looking for a competent Mechanical Projects Engineer, with hands-on experience in water-pumping systems, installation of pumping equipment, testing and commissioning, etc. or similar experience on E&M contracts.
The selected candidate will oversee project planning, execution, testing, and commissioning while ensuring compliance with industry standards and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage mechanical engineering activities for water-pumping projects, including pump installations, pipeline works, valve chambers, and mechanical fittings.
- Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, BOQs, and contract documents related to pumping systems.
- Liaise with the client and consultants, coordinate installation to the satisfaction of relevant parties while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a Govt approved University or Technical Institute.
- Minimum 02 years of post-qualifying experience in water-pumping projects or other similar electromechanical installations.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Project, and hydraulic calculation tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel to remote pumping stations and field locations.
- Experience working with government water supply contracts NWDSB, LG bodies, irrigation sector is an added advantage.
Salary: Negotiable and will be agreed upon depending on qualifications and experience
