Junior Project Coordinator – HOME Project (Holistic Opportunities for Meaningful Family Environments) National Office – Piliyandala
SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka is looking for a passionate and committed Junior Project Coordinator – HOME project to support the implementation of its Child Care Reform Agenda and promote family-based alternative care solutions for children.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement advocacy activities related to child care reforms.
- Develop and support policies, procedures, and guidelines on family-based alternative care options.
- Establish and facilitate networks and forums with national and provincial stakeholders.
- Collaborate with government agencies, CSOs, INGOs, and development partners to advance advocacy objectives.
- Raise awareness and build stakeholder capacity on care reform practices.
- Monitor project implementation, reporting, and budget utilization against agreed results frameworks.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Ensure compliance with SOS Children’s Villages Child Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Social Work, Community Development, Project Management, or a related field.
- 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Applicants must possess a valid driving licence.
- Strong communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
- Computer literacy and report-writing skills.
- Fluency in English, Sinhala, and Tamil will be an added advantage.
