SENIOR CO-WORKER - PROGRAMMES (NATIONAL OFFICE - PILIYANDALA)

SOS Children's Villages Sri Lanka is seeking a dedicated and results-driven Senior Co-worker - Programmes to strengthen programme quality, monitoring and evaluation systems, and Family Strengthening interventions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertakes action on operational procedures affecting Family Strengthening programmes.
  • Leads needs assessments, feasibility studies, and impact evaluations with the support of the Programme Department.
  • Undertakes field visits to facilitate case management.
  • Conducts periodic FSP reviews with the Programme Director.
  • Prepares periodic reports.
  • Ensures that established administrative, accounting, and personnel practices and policies are followed.
  • Supports the introduction of new interventions in the field of community development.
  • Implements FSP programme activities, ensuring all work is done in a participatory and community-based approach.
  • Supports carrying out assessments, review of the impact of DFE implemented and ensures consistent learning and improvement.
  • Maintains and updating the databases and M&E systems.
  • Overall responsibility to manage PDB2 and Pro Digi and the M&E systems.
  • Conducts workshops to train co-workers on PDB and ProDigi.
  • Regularly monitors programmes through M&E systems and regularly shares findings with all stakeholders.
  • Develops tools and processes to ensure data quality in programme databases.
  • Rolls out new changes in the programme database system.
  • Provides training and capacity development for users in programme databases and M&E systems.
  • Compiles, analyses, manages, and shares data with different stakeholders.
  • Supports various programme research and evaluations.
  • Ensures that the necessary systems are in place for maintaining data backups and data security.
  • Participates in programme meetings to ensure the relevance/validity of data with ongoing programmes and programmes to be implemented.

Requirements

  • Degree in Social Sciences, Sociology, Community Development, Statistics, Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar capacity, preferably in the development sector.
  • Sound knowledge of Monitoring & Evaluation, data analysis, and programme quality assurance.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and other database management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Sinhala/Tamil.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and interpersonal skills.
