TEA MASTER
Bogawantalawa Tea Ceylon (Pvt) Ltd is a leading global marketer of the World's First Climate Positive Teas. As we expand our international footprint and consolidate a growing group of businesses, we continuously seek professionals with strong business acumen and the dedication to excellence to join our award-winning team.
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Tea Master, to lead the Company's Tea Department to support the growth strategy of the company, at our export processing center in Welisara.
APPLICANT PROFILE
- Organizing tea ceremonies, online tea tasting sessions and showcasing the company's range at trade fairs and exhibitions.
- Overseeing the development of new products for the company's brands and exclusive clients spanning across teas, specialty teas and tisane ranges as per marketing requirements.
- Collaborating with the tea plantations, overseeing tea procurement, arranging tea blends and signing off blends based on master blends.
- Liaising and collaborating with cross functional departments including the Sales and Marketing, New Product Development, Quality Assurance and Production to align business support and partnering with the delivery of the Company's five-year growth strategy.
- Improving and maintaining the standards of the tearoom efficiently and effectively.
- Leading, developing and inspiring a high-performing team to achieve the company's growth objectives.
APPLICANT PROFILE
- Minimum of 20 years proven track record, with a minimum of 7 years in a senior role within a tea exporting company.
- Having a sound academic background with a degree or a diploma related to value-added Tea Manufacturing and/or Food Science will be an added advantage.
- Prior international work experience will be a definite advantage.
