Job Summary
To design and optimize Rubber tracks, associated molds and tooling accessories relevant to Rubber track manufacturing process by ensuring dimensional accuracy, manufacturability, pattern quality, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Circular and Flat rubber tracks according to the market requirements.
- Verify functional and performance requirement related to the product.
- Analysis existing products in the market and implement valuable features with new products.
- Design metal bars by considering the strength requirements of rubber track.
- Design optimization of metal bar and tracks, while maintaining the quality of product.
- Prepare detailed 2D/3D CAD drawings, assembly drawings, and tooling BOM.
- Perform Finite Element analysis for verify the product requirements.
- Maintain design documentation, drawings and revision records.
- Contributing to maintain a safer working environment.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or NDT in mechanical / materials Engineering or equivalent.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering design/product design by using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Rubber product design or manufacturing field.
Skills
- CAD software (SolidWorks / AutoCAD) and MS office package.
- Understanding and perform FEA simulation.
- Rubber product manufacturing and vulcanization techniques.
- Problem solving by using specific quality tools.
- Mold and tool design principles.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Sinhala.
