Trainee Cashier.
Namal Fashion Collection – Thalawathugoda
We are a well-established textile business, looking for a trustworthy and detail-oriented Trainee Cashier to join our team at our showroom in Thalawathugoda.
About the Role
As a Trainee Cashier, you will handle customer sales and payments at the showroom, including processing cash and card payments on our POS system, issuing invoices and receipts, giving correct change, counting and balancing the till, and maintaining daily sales records. We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in building a career in retail. On-the-job training on the POS system, invoicing and cash procedures will be provided
Requirements
- GCE Ordinary Level (minimum), with a pass in Mathematics preferred
- No experience required; previous cashier or POS experience is an advantage
- Good numeracy and attention to detail
- Strong honesty and integrity, as the role involves handling money and financial records
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn our POS system
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Certificate in accounting or business studies is an advantage
- Character references.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
