VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
ASSISTANT MANAGER / MANAGER - MERCHANDISING
(HEAD OFFICE, WATTALA)

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage end-to-end order execution from buyer confirmation to final shipment, ensuring adherence to quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
- Act as the primary liaison with buyers, maintaining strong communication on developments, and approvals.
- Lead costing and price negotiations, ensuring competitive yet profitable pricing aligned with company targets.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Product Development, Technical, Production, IE, QA, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth order flow.
- Oversee sample development and approvals, including proto, fit, SMS, and pre-production samples.
- Monitor production progress against T&A plans, proactively identifying risks and driving corrective actions.
- Ensure raw material readiness, including fabrics, trims, and accessories, in line with production schedules.
- Control order profitability, tracking cost variances, excesses, claims, and chargebacks.
- Ensure compliance with buyer standards, including quality, ethical, and sustainability requirements.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Apparel Technology, Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, or relevant field.
- 5+ years experience in apparel manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of merchandising principles, trends, retail dynamics, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
